Hurricane Relief
From time to time, a special or unplanned event with a need for assistance or support may be required. When one of thse events occur, whether its a natural disaster or a personnal crisis we will step forward and provide what aid that the Foundation and its supporters can furnish or supply.
In the summer of 2004, Florida and the southeast region was rocked by an unusual hurricane season. Charley smashed into Punta Gorda, followed closely by Frances. A special collection effort was made for hurricane support. During the collection process Ivan came rolling across the state causing more damage and finally Jeanne caused her share of destruction.
A group of independent businessmen, representing the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI) collected over $5000.00 in support of the quickly assembled Relief Fund. Hundreds of these inspectors also took time out of their work schedules to become FEMA dissaster inspectors which aided and sped up the relief effort of those who suffered property storm damage. Thank you to the men and women of NACHI who supported this project!
